Last car was a Vauxhall Cora VXR, when chatting to the salesman about delivery mileage he told me that as long as the car did not go over 99 miles the dealers could reset the mileage at PDI.

This was confirmed by lots of Vauxhall techs on the VXR forum and is common practice apparently!
I was told that it was to allow for the cars being driven at the factory on the rolling road, around the docks at port and PDI mileage etc.

78 miles isn't a lot but a lot can happen in 78 miles and I would be a bit Censored if it was mine.

normal delivery mileage is usually between 7 and 10 miles.

and I would agree that 78 miles is a bit excessive on a brand new car.

was it delivered from another dealer ?

Iain

ps sorry I see it was driven from another dealer, question answered. If you were aware that this was the plan to deliver your car then no problem.

Mine came with 61,000 on it when I picked it up from the dealers! Ok it's not a new car but I was still happy!

If it had come with only 78 miles I would have been ecstatic ! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Just enjoy it , life's too short to care about 2 gallons worth of miles - FL2 3.2 i6 - There is no Replacement for Displacement

If my wife ever sells my stuff for what I told her I paid for it, there will be some bargains out there!
