An educated guess would be that the pollen filter is very old and full of crap.

If it's new to you it may just be that it got damp inside before you got it, either from being left standing for some time, or parked with a window open in the rain. If that's the case it may go away after a while when it dries out.

Passenger footwell, right hand side, behind the centre console, right at the back.

Somewhere on YouTube there's a video which shows it being done. Looks like it helps if you're a vertically-challenged contortionist! |

It has also been said on here that the aftermarket filter can be a bar steward to fit and the genuine one is easier.

its easy just take notice of which way the lid was before removal its nearly symmetrical but not quite, working out which ways up takes longer than fitting At work |

Might be worth a run with the heater on full and the back windows open to dry the car out in case it's just something damp inside... 2011 MY SD4 HSE + planning some interesting stuff

I struggled for ages trying to refit my lid. When I stopped trying to fit it back to front it just popped on. ![]() Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

could dab a bit of touch up paint/ tipex/ etc at the top before taking the lid off - this way you can see which way it should face and which is the top |
