I don't think the diff noise is an indication of a 'trouble child' as it is fairly common. But I absolutely would not buy the car unless it was sorted pre delivery. Your 12 month warranty is no guarantee of everything being sorted out. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

I had the same experience on my 2008 HSE. The first test drive was a dream. Fell in love immediately.

I actually bought mine with a very loud droning noise from the rear assuming it was the rear diff and pricing a discount accordingly. A friend suggested it could be the rear tyres so I bought a new set of alloys and tyres and the noise has disappeared. |
