Lost for words Whistle

Very nice, however, each time I see one I can't help thinking that it's too big?
The previous RRS had a muscular stance, it looked sporty, if a two tonne 4x4 can look sporty?
The new one, for me, simply seems too big, stand next to one in a showroom and it's huge and I feel this is what will happen with the Discovery Sport, it may look bloated next to the FL2. The current FL2 and Discovery sit well together size wise but if the Sport comes along and is bigger then what will happen with the next Discovery?

Anyway LR NUT, who's is the RRS, it's the opposite colour to what we normally see.

Absolutely.
Driven both the diesel and petrol versions of the new RRS. Had them each for days on end trying to make a decision (and in different body colours to win me over - my dealer in Liechtenstein was very obliging) but every time her Ladyship came home she said: "they are all huge - far too imposing". And I couldn't disagree. Also the tacky shinny interior black plastics really killed the idea. Just did not get along with that. So I dropped idea once and for all. I really did want one. Crying or Very sad

Its my mums new car, she part ex a 2010 RRS Bali Blue SE. Tbh we are still not keen on the shape mainly the rear end Rolling Eyes I really dont know what JLR are thinking but as Taz said the old RRS aka a D3 looked the business Cool this is just an ugly Evoque even my mum is not really keen on the rear! The interior is really nice I really like the rear camera that can be active whilst car is in D. Sadly I cannot get this to work on my Dynamic Big Cry

Personally I would have gone for a white but there is a new white out in January 2015 Yulong White!

We have many white LR's in the family atm so she opted for a change I did try and push her towards a Pimento Oxford Perforated Leather interior but I failed at this also Embarassed she said it's told loud and more for the younger generation Wink

I drove her today briefly and the ride seems very hard for 21's my Freely on 22's is a much softer ride! It could be to do with the sports syspension set up Whistle I will check the tyre pressures for her tomorrow (no warning from the TPMS) as she is still at mine. Worst case I can always pop over to hers on Monday after work in the eveing and then check them.

We've all stayed loyal to the LR brand for decades and I have been born into the brand so to speak. However I really hope they do not ruin the whole range by creating rounded blobs! I really hope that there is a retro phase that will make a come back and make JLR create breautiful machines on the outside again once again Thumbs Up

Until they sort the new RRS2 security out I wouldn't risk that sort of money on one

Very nice though, hope it stays on the driveway over night or are you going to block it in just in case

Um yes Whistle it will be safe tonight as I took my FL1 out of the garage yes I know I garage her rather than my FL2:rolllaugh:

Here's a few more shots. npinks tbh buddy I wouldn't ever spend my own money on one either it's a nice machine but I feel it could have came with colour coded bumpers and sills at least for that price after all who will take a car with 21" alloys off-roading Question Is there really a need not to have the lower bumpers and sill not painted...

Maybe I'm stuck in the past as I would have happily purchased the old RRS at that price in 2006 it would have been a top spec
4.2 Supercharged lump with some change left over IIRC Very Happy I feel the major part that's not for my liking is the shape sadly Rolling Eyes I would rather keep my freely and buy a new STI cracker of a car not seen one in the flesh yet as they're not as common as they used to be! I will also always be a manual lad Laughing

I don't really know why they needed an imitation honeycomb grill effect on a bit of plastic....very cheap

I don't mind the rear end, it's grown on me

Though I am worried that LR will use the same security on the up coming LR DS

My local dealers have a nice RRS Black in red but not thinking of changing yet Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

For us it's looks odd the front is nice and side ok but the rear Rolling Eyes the drive is beautiful however even though I do not like auto boxes well I still don't tbh and that's why u have a manual FL1 & FL2

Yes sadly the security is very alarming Whistle hopefully it will get rectified asap

Ps I know it's not the same level of luxury but I'd rather have an STI it is in a manual after all...however the SVR is looking fabulous Laughing
