Rubber seal protection

I've used a silicone oil lubricant on rubber before and it seemed to allow the rubber to remain soft. Any recommendations on products to extend the life of door weather strip seals and even the rubber engine and shock mounts? What about products that claim to extend the life of wiper blades?

after researching it a while back, I use Halfords silicone rubber lubricant on door seals, etc, and am well pleased with the results.

I use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care. Keeps the seals subtle and stops them sticking when it freezes. I also use it on the tyre sidewalls.

I have used this "Einszett Gummi Pflege Stick - Rubber Door Seal Restorer" and find it very good at restoring rubber seals that have gone a bit hard. On E.bay under Vehicle Parts and Accesseories
