Going on all the comments in that thread, I’d say it’s highly unlikely it ever went into production. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
171037Km as of 09/05/22

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Hi, I'm Richard in Norfolk and have joined to see if anyone has any info on an intermittant problem.
I have a 2010 TD4 HSE that has an intermittant starting problem. It's been fine for months but all of a sudden it won't always start on the button. It will click like a relay is working but not turn over, or do half a turn then nothing. Seems like a bad connection or maybe a relay being awkward but then will clear up and be fine for weeks or months.
Anyone had this problem?
Waiting in headscratching anticipation.

Hello and welcome Richard, when I had a similar issue back along it turned out to be the starter motor...

Please open a fresh post in the 'Maintenance and Modifications' section with your problem, then people will see it and hopefully supply some suggestions.

As said above, too few people look at this branch of topics, me included, I just happened to look just by accident.

Nevertheless, welcome to the forum, lots of brilliant people here which leave me in the dust! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Hi All,

I bought an FL2 i6 a couple of months ago with some issues (price adjusted accordingly). I’ve resolved some of the problems, which would seem to be fairly typical to the FL2. Remotes not working, door locks not locking/unlocking via the central locking. Folding mirrors not operating. I’ve still got to sort out a rubbish handbrake, parking sensors not working (replaced loom and sensors in front bumper, but no joy) and a puddle of water under the front passenger seat, presumably from the sunroof drain. My biggest problem is that the car is fitted with LPG and it’s a pain trying to find gas suppliers locally. I’m currently trying to find a professional firm that will remove it (I don’t like not having a spare wheel and having to drive miles to get the gas rather defeats the object). Anyway, love the car and looking forward to finding some useful information on this website.

Yes a lot of the lpg sites that used to be there are shut now. Guess the demand is not there to warrant the cost etc.

Yeah, the nearest to me is a BP garage, 8 miles away. They were waiting for a delivery the last time I went and the guy behind the counter, said he thinks they will be discontinuing it before the end of the year. I’m told the LPG system is supposed to have an annual service at a cost of £100 plus. I don’t use the car that much to make the savings worth while.

Hi All

Just saying a courteous ‘hello’ after joining…

I’m active on another Land Rover site as I own an F1 TD4 HSE, but new to this site as I’m just in the process of buying an F2 also. It’s a known vehicle and I’m confident in it, but will need some help and advice in the ongoing preventative maintenance, odd jobs and servicing of it going forward.

More dancing pixies in an F2 for a start…!

Some of the guys on here will know of me already.

Cheers

Welcome Freddie17.
The Freelander 2 does have more pixies true, but it's not generally sustainable to pixie unruliness. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The replacement for the SE.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Almost sold.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
