Last week bought a 2013 Freelander 2 (Td4, Auto) for my wife. We had a 2006 Freelander 1
before and she liked it very much. This 2 has low km, but quite shabby generally. There are
scratches everywhere but hopefully the mechanical part is OK. Quite a lot bigger than the 1.
We're in Vantaa, Finland and I have 2 Defenders, what is it with these Land Rovers, they
just multiply...

Thanks for the add. Been a freelander 2 owner now for 2 months 60 plate GSeco. Very disappointing start having to fork out firstly on 2 new rear shocks and secondly just had to replace clutch kit! But really really hoping now we can rely on our beast to not go wrong and look forward to years of fun!

Hello people just purchased a 2012 FL2 for the wife, I have owned several Landrovers currently a Disco 4 which is looking like a keeper.
Looking forward to picking people's brains on the FL2, it's a 2012 ex fleet having covered 104000 miles with full Landrover service history I really can't fault it mechanically or general condition considering the price I paid for it.

Three days ago I picked up my first Freelander2 and it seemed rude not to take it on an adventure, so i took it directly to the Peak district for a spot of climbing!

Just bought a 2008 TD4 S auto. I live in the mountains of Southern Spain, so this seems like a useful tool to have.
Great forum! I have been looking through at some really in depth posts regarding some of the faults I have already found with mine (Rear door lock needing 3 clicks on fob to lock! )

As mine is stock at the mo, I will be looking to add bits. I´ve only got basic head unit, (No MP3), I´m thinking of a cubby hole fitted GPS, Music, Reverse camera set up.

Oh yeah, and I need a center arm rest. Original from LR or after market? What do you advise, what have you got?

New guy here from Romania. Just saying "Hi!"

Currently looking to buy a Freelander 2 and I may have found a viable candidate for this. A 2008 model - 60 years edition in decent shape and if it all turns out fine, I'll officially be a Freelander 2 owner. For the time being, I still own a BMW 730i E32 with a swapped V8 4L petrol engine instead of its 3L counterpart

I did find some "annoying" things around the engine (wet hoses) so I joined this forum to see if this is something to worry about or just sloppy maintenance work by the shop dudes.

I'll head over to the Technical section to see if I get a quick heads up on what may be the problem. I did post in the Romanian section as well just to see if I get a fast reply as well.

Until I get an answer, I have already started skimming the +3,000 pages manual on what components might be generate this. However, I have little experience working on diesel engine since I owned only petrol cars until now. Ergo, my question on this board

Wanted to say hi, been lurking on here for a whilst now,
I mainly post on def2.net ( that's my vehicle )

Fizz - is the wifes recent acquirement, it's a low mileage farm owners vehicle before we found her, so the odd ding here and there, but nice low mileage and dealer history,
, she had a freelander 1 ( TD4 ) thankfully, and loved it, so with a gap using a "normal" car for a bit, we now have a four different green oval badges on the drive

Looking forward to assisting where I can and learning

Just spent way longer than intended reading that thread, need to build up the courage to ask if my 2007 he's has a Dpf?.................just kidding, will return to the thread and search for the outcome
