Hi Martin, I'm keen to buy a new Freelander SD4 GS. Any thoughts on which dealer to go to in West Sussex? Who gives best deals and customer service.

Hello, just joined as I'm about to collect my new Freelander. Currently own a Disco2 and some time ago had a Freelander 1. This Thursday I pick up a nice shiny new FL2 in Orkney Grey and I cannot wait.

Good Evening all, new to the forum. Due to my job I have had a Freelander 1 for 5 years going off road on many occasion to visit various Cells sites etc. Due to the ageing FR1 my company last month purchased a brand new FL2 in Black which was already converted into a van, great, till I found out it was an ed4!!

Welcome Palacio. Tell your employers you need a set of winter tyres. With the right tyres the eD4 should be able to see off most off most softroaders even without having 4wd! They can afford them with the cash they saved by choosing the eD4!

Thanks for the reply Bob. I think most of my visits to the Northern Cell sites will in Summer which will help a lot, not going to risk getting stuck on any marshland like before. I will have a look at what it is capable of doing and get winter tyres when its time for a change. It is the snow I am more worried about, I live on higher ground and the FR1 has never let me down, would not like the neighbours watching me struggle with the FR2.
