Looking at them, I don't see that they can be removed that easily. They appear to be crimped and bonded at factory level, on both front and rear doors. It's possible to get them vinyl wrapped I suppose...that might be your best bet. This job looks far more hassle than it's worth. Foraging near Gaydon....

that's why I wanted to remove them and carbon wrap them but fold the enda behind the unit to give a professional job |

They must come off though, the Chrome Trim fits over the top of the original Black Trim. The Black Trim is available, part no LR031699 is the Right Hand Trim. |

I took it to a tame body shop (not the shampoo sort) for an opinion from a "professional". He reckons the difficulty is directly proportional to the way it is bonded on. If it's just a big chunk of sticky tape then it's not too much of a drama, but if it's glued/bonded it would be harder. He doesn't know which until he starts taking it apart.
