The moral compass is an oft used phrase - in MH370 - the reality compass seems to have gone AWOL just like the aeroplane.

The world's media networks regurgitate every titbit of every indigestible "expert" analysis and their audiences feast on every juicy morsel. The conspiracists dance to the tune whilst almost 300 families are living a nightmare day after day.

In these circumstances speculation is devoid of merit.

Naaaa... the one with:

"Not quite sure I get your point.
Well I don't at all to be honest.
First thing I do in the morning is turn on the news hoping for something positive.
Speculation maybe. That's human nature. But to spend a whole week looking in the wrong place is also 'devoid of merit'."
etc etc etc ...

Question Question Deleted?

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
I deleted it. Thought afterwards I was being a bit harsh.
Yeah, almost shot cos I'm better than Clapton (dream on)

Anyway, had some top news today.
Mrs Pegleg has been undergoing some tests for cancer recently.
And today we found out that she's fine, nothing there.
So we are most relieved to say the least.
Might go mad and treat her to a pint and a bag of crisps tonight Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Thanks. Been a bit of a worry to say the least.

Just hope that aircraft can be found too. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Great news Greg, my wife went through the whole sequence 7 years ago and gets checked yearly now.
.
Why not find a pub that has pickled eggs to give her a real treat.
.
Back to the origins of this post; the press mentions that location black box pings from a downed aircraft can be heard from hundreds of miles away; I thought the worlds navy's had clever listening submarines?
Surely these craft could screen the ditched and sunk option?
.

I thought the emergency Flight Recorder pinger had a limited acoustic range of around one mile?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
