I agree I always clean the out when the car is washed also do the funny little rubber flap things at the side of the struts. |

I have had the plastic panel off. The entire area was covered in dust, but it does drain well, and it is interesting how the whole area is designed, it makes sense. If you take the battery cover off reach to the side, there is a funnel to channel the water away underneath. The front edge of the plastic is easy enough to lift to look under, but if you want to take it off you need to remove the wipers.

Yeah just had that opened, it was pretty clean but there were some little seeds that had settled into the drain holes. Hopefully they float. |
