Just seen this - I've sent a link to a mate (who has a Disco 3) to see if he's interested. I'm really keen although as a 'newbie' who has just spent the most I've ever spent on a vehicle, (and after three weeks am still polishing it and kissing it goodnight!) am I wise in risking bending my pride and joy? The 'Boss' would lynch me! I've done a LRE day in Scotland which was brilliant but that's it. What is the script with insurance - would my 'normal' policy cover me or do I need to extend cover. Sorry but I've never done this before.

Your normal insurance policy would not cover this type of thing, unless you have off road cover, such as LR insurance & NFU offer.

If you was very unlucky and did ding a door or something, who says that it didn't happen in a muddy ASDA carpark Whistle

It looks like i will be on my own in my car, if you want to ride shotgun on a tuition day, i don't think it would be a problem but would have to check Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Come on folks give it a try .... thats why you bought your 4 X 4 X far ....

Last time around it was me and Carlfarz ... this time around it looks like me an NPinks ...

You wont damage your motor ...

You will have a brilliant time ...

Come on guys, this really is worth getting up early on a Sunday morning ....

My wife, Mrs Avtur, is the most none car minded person you will ever meet. But for some reason she agreed to come along to the last event. She had a blast, she still talks about it to her friends ... Bloody hell did she scream when we went down the BIG hill ... We had a fantastic day out, we played with the car in the way it was meant to be played with ... the car did not get damaged ... OK it needed a good clean, but thats no big deal ...

Go look in the gallery at my pix and carlfaz, you'll see what we did ...

COME ON FOLKS AND SIGN UP ..........

CFB, well done, good effort

avtur, you are too right, even "shiney" motors just need a good preening afterwards and all is back to normal. It is what your FL2 aspires to and wants.

Tim, Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I would sign up but me having the motor by this time is, at best, wishfull thinking.

Get in there, Censored it!!! SD4 HSE Lux

I'm coming down from Scotland for this one, there are a few people with no excuses... Whistle

I can't think why people wouldn't want to come on this event Confused We've cleared up that it's non-damaging, we've agreed how much unparalleled fun it is, we've mentioned how much value for money it is compared to the very expensive LRE days, it's also a social meet and a chance to learn more about your car. Get it looking muddy.

If anyone has any niggling questions I'm pretty sure Andy or one of the other experienced members will be able to answer. We've got places and the need for some people to come along and play.

If you're free that Sunday, why not? You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Thumbs Up "CY from DISCO3"
