New pads and discs noise

Hi guys,

Fitted new pads and discs all round on Sunday, the rears are making no noise whatsoever but the fronts sound like something is rubbing/grinding continuously. Travelling around 20 - 30 mph is quite noisy! How long does it take for the pads to "bed in" properly?

I have just been out and pushed the dirt guards back a little in case they were also rubbing on the new discs, but any advice from you guys is always welcome!

Cheers!

Are you sure you fitted the anti rattle springs properly? One of them may be rubbing on the disc. John

The anti rattle springs are on the outside of the front calipers, so would that not mean they would rub on the wheel? I will have a check at the weekend though as they were a bit of a faff to fit properly.

Thank you for the replies, had a look this morning and it was the bottom of the splash guard that was rubbing on the disc. A quick push to bend it out and we are now back to peaceful motoring.
