Key Behaviour Change

I gave my key to friend so he could retrieve something from my car. When I tried to enter the car later, things didn't work as expected.

Usually, it's 2 clicks to open (top right button) and 2 clicks to close (top left button). Now, when I 2-click to open, the doors don't open, and, instead, all the windows open!

I've not quite worked out how to open the doors exactly. I used a combination of press and hold etc, and eventually the doors opened.

I have a spare key which is working as expected (which I'm now using).

Any ideas what's happened and how I can restore it back to normal?

Cheers

Press and hold is for opening/closing the windows, just a quick press should be all that's required to unlock. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

You can programme each Fob individually to one press opening or the two stage opening.

Yes, but press-and-hold should open the windows and unlock the doors. If the windows open but the doors remain locked there's something not right!

Similarly, one short press should always unlock at least the driver's door, so again if that's not happening something isn't right.

Maybe the button on the fob is sticking and turning a press into a hold?
