The arms have different parts numbers on the parts website and the spring isn't listed as far as I can see as a separate item.

No... the wiper is leaving mist on that side compared to the other. Both have new ( and not cheap) wipers plus I have rainex on too. Because of that I'm thinking contact is been lost.

+1 for BossBob comments, Rainex seems to cause all sorts of problems on the Freelander 2, quite a few posts on here regarding it, juddering is the main problem, it seems to effect the Flat Blade type wiper though, on cars with the old style wiper it seems fine. |

I know its the wiper as I had this problem before rainex plus the other side wipes spot on...

OK... spring in my hand along with the little clip thing which goes at the base.
