I spoke to a gearbox specialist regarding autobox power flushing and he said not to bother as the debris and gunk it cleans is not always flushed out . He said that the fluid they flush with is very expensive and your not guaranteed it's fresh every time they flush .

There is a guy on the Disco4 forums called Geoff who does flushes, he is based in Kent. Not sure if he does FL2's (don't see why not), but might be worth contacting.

Are they a LR Indy or a flushing firm?

Hi Sidthecat,
They are trading as auto transmission specialists with 3 outlets in north Kent
http://www.dartfordtransmissions.co.uk/
I'll give them a call next week and may book.

hi dave
be a bit wary,i called 2 auto box "specialists "1 in e sussex and kent, asking a similar question about changing the auto(atf3309)fluid
one told me what fluid they used and it was not atf3309,when i told them they said"oh yes"thats right.the other said something similar, when i reminded them again what car it was and what gearbox it has, they said,oh we miss heard you Shocked
both wanted over £350 and needed the car for a day!!
in the end I did it myself, took about 2 1/2 hours, not rocket science either.look at dunkleys excellent write up on how to do it.
good luck
sandy

Hi Sandy, yes I'm a bit wary of any garages that are not recommended by friends etc and was concerned regarding
the oil specification,
I did try to do a group booking with some of our SE4x4 response members but it appears that workshop, is only geared up to do D3/D4s at the moment, Rolling Eyes
I was going to have it done manually but my tame mechanic is in the process of renovating and moving house Sad
I'll keep asking and searching. Thumbs Up
Dave DAVE.
