probably took 3 days to crow bar the parts off! The LR / Ford OE glue is so adhesive its unbelievable.
For anyone reading of your problem and being puzzled about the parts needed; to remove the sump you need to get a chisel inbetween the flanges and lever away till you get a gap big enough for a small crowbar then lever like hell till it begins to peel away. I really can't believe how you get a leak here; the glue is so good and the surfaces plenty wide enough to seal.
Lets hope its sorted this time.

I suspect they will have had to contact LandRover and wait for a solution to the problem because what they did last time was no good, so I guess my sump will be on with super glue this time so god help the next person that has to take it off

Reasons for the problem could be

Bad batch of bonding glue
Excessive heat deforming glue
Warped sump or the extension piece or block
Crankshaft not balanced wearing a seal bearing
I have counted out human error as this is the 3rd sump (1 from new 1from last year and this one)

Me thinks extended warranty will be a wise choice 1995 P38 now dead
