hi only oil leak ive had on my freelander was from crankshaft oil seal its been replaced twice had it done again when I had new clutch fitted and it still leaked with a genuine landrover seal fitted. garage could not get another( seal from landrover was on back order) so fitted a seal made for a Peugeot and does not leak anymore. |

car went in today for the oil leak to be fixed but it looks like the gearbox is gong to have to come out so wont get till next week just as well its all covered by warranty 1995 P38 now dead

Just picked up my car and guess what's been done they have taken 4 DAYS to replaced the sump and the sump extension

probably took 3 days to crow bar the parts off! The LR / Ford OE glue is so adhesive its unbelievable.

I suspect they will have had to contact LandRover and wait for a solution to the problem because what they did last time was no good, so I guess my sump will be on with super glue this time so god help the next person that has to take it off
