A friend of mine has recently fitted one of these Superchips have been able to crack the latest security protocols (was only a matter of time). So chipping can be done without needing to remove ECU from the vehicle and is removable for servicing etc.
My friend reports Hp now 215 a modest increase but torque up 25% or so. Vehicle is now much smoother with gear changes happening at lower revs. I could never get my head around how they produced 2 levels of tune 150 & 190PS but both with the same torque figure. This is now how the SD4 should have been as original. However maybe LR know that to use the extra torque all the time will kill the rear diff etc. they are probably right!
