Bumpers and side moulding don't effect the insurance, not to sure on the lights but I'm sure they don't effect it Whistle BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I haven't had to pay any extra on my insurance for any of my mods so far. I thought I might have to with the change of wheels but as they were the same size and still a genuine LR product they couldn't have been any less interested Thumbs Up The BEST looking half of the famous Twinlanders Ner Ner

On my last car, I declared the following and what they charged :-

Facelift bumper and tailgate handle :- No charge, but notified on the policy
Wheels (non standard) :- £36, but this option gave me the option of changing wheels at any time for different types.
Side Steps :- notified but no charge
Si6 rear silencer :- £28 extra
DVD System :- no charge as they only cover standard in car entertainment anyway.
Rear Spoiler :- Notified but no extra charge

I didn't tell them about the rear lights as they were no more expensive than the originals and I didn't class them as a modification

Things like mud flaps and side mouldings were not declared as I don't see them being classed as a modification.

On my new one, the wheels and side steps are declared. I'll tell them about the Si6 rear silencer and spoiler when they are done. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I had the option of no charge and making them a notification. But in the event of accident damage or theft of the wheels, the insurance would only pay out for the original spec wheel.

But as I have paid a little extra on the premium, they get replaced like for like. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Most insurance companies won't refuse to pay for repairs, but insist on the extra premium before repairs ore authorised. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
