United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
MY08 HSE,, is it a LUX model

When I first joined this site i had in my signature
Freelander 2 HSE LUX
And someone pointed out there wasn't a LUX model in 2008 so I removed it even tho it states it on my paper work ?

I'm bringing this up now as someone is driving around with my plates and after doing a few checks on different sites on the interweb my freely keeps coming up as a (freelander HSE LUX)

Did land rover do a LUX model on a MY08 ???? BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

As far as I can recall LR didn't produce an HSE Lux in 2008 but that doesn't necessarily mean yours can't be a Lux as a Dealer could have produced a special edition of their own and called it an HSE Lux.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Go back through TOPiX via your VIN, and look up the build details. Compare them with what was standard spec at the time, then cross-match it against what you have on your car today. Anything on the build spec, right down to a side moulding strip that isn't showing, will be a dealer fit..usually done to try and shift them off a forecourt after a significant period of time.

For further info, look in my gallery at my old 2012 model. It is a LUX in every sense with the exception of the Leather, which wasn't Windsor leather. On TOPiX, looking at the build schedule and options, it seems as though several were dealer fit afterwards, as opposed to Factory fit at point of build.

Log in to TOPiX as normal, key in your VIN. Under 'Vehicle Features', where it says 'Drive: 4 Whl R/H Full Time Drive' is a hyperlink titled 'more...'. Simply click on that, and everything that was done at Factory Level will be listed.

Hope that helps Thumbs Up Foraging near Gaydon....

No lux pack on 08MY cars.

Checked 2008 brochure and all it has is a premium pack which is:

Premium body coloured bumpers and side sills
Rear tail gate spoiler, tungsten door handles, front centre console storage compartment
Napoli leather with unique stitching & perforation pattern
Eight way electric drivers seat adjust & six way passengers
19 inch 10 spoke shadow chrome alloys.

」1,850.00

A standard 08MY HSE TD4 should have:

Comfort & convenience

Automatic climate control with automatic air filtration, automatic recirculation & humidity control
Electric panoramic sunroof with illuminated vanity mirrors
Front/rear carpet mats
Luggage cover
Rear seats centre arm rest, centre storage compartment & two cup holders
Heated front seats
Rear seat centre head rest
Memory function
Footwell & puddle lamps

Interior Trim

Leather seat facings and steering wheel

Transmission

(In your case) commandshift 6 speed auto
Terrain response
Cruise control

Information, Communication & Entertainment

Alpine audio system Dolby pro logic 2
Six disc CD player
Remote audio controls
Rear seat headphone modules
Navigation system
Driver information centre
Personal telephone integration

Exterior Features

Auto headlamps
Front PDC
Rear PDC
Automatic wipers

Wheels

18 inch 12 spoke

EDIT - There is a HSE premium listed in the 2008 brochure, but I think that refers to the premium pack, but doesn't feature in the 2009 brochure. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
