Possible DAB upgrade option

I came across the following module when looking for something the other day:

http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_digit...radio.html

On paper it looks like a relatively cheap DAB upgrade option for the standard radio in a Free Lander.

Has anybody come across this and know how good it is?

You will need to fit a DAB aerial. garioch43

DAB aerial is already fitted in the offside window, is it not?

And the problem with that option is that you loose all the DAB quality...... FM has a limited sound range even when directly connected.

Problem is that there is no amplifier and coax attached to the rear LH window (unless you already have DAB fitted). I did try connecting a Roberts DAB radio to the window aerial (without an amp) and achieved decent reception. Not sure about the connecting permanently, as it seems to be some type of press stud affair. I have used a PURE Highway connected to aux input and external mag aerial with good results.
New HSE Lux arriving in a week or two (should be on assembly line this week) so Highway will be redundant although it does work well as a handheld, using attached headphones as the antenna.
I've used 'dabonwheels' a few times and been pleased with their service.

You can get a we converter box which allows you to use the FM antenna for DAB reception. garioch43

Hotglove (or anyone else for that matter) - have you installed an Alpine Eezi-DAB?
