Got it

Well a week after the test drive i finally have my 2009 FL2 GS home Very Happy

Picked it up this morning and drove the 80 miles home averaging 80mph and it was showing 36mpg which i'm pleased with (how accurate is the computer?)
The trip home was better than i thought it would be, raining all the way but the FL was very quiet, nippy and comfy (traded in a 2010 Golf MK6) - think i was expecting it to sound a bit like my works van Wink

Due to the non stop rain i couldn't give it a pre wash to start the full detail so instead i spent the afternoon (yep all of it) fitting the sidesteps and securing the loose mudflaps? oh and fitting the LED interior bulbs Smile

Hoping for a dry spell tommorow so i can start the detail as i've noticed quite a few marks/ light scratches so will need to get the DA out with the cutting compounds.

Congrats on your new toy!!

Although I think you made a silly typo.....clearly you averaged 70mph on the way home......

Wink

Oooooh - while I remember, which LED bulbs did you need to fit out the interior?

Couple of questions -
Mine has black grain dash panels - do the silver accessory ones just stick on top? (some say they do and some say the silver pieces are a replacement)

Has anyone fitted the stainless trims from the Polish seller on ebay - some for around the heater vents/ window switches/ tweeter grilles/ etc - what are they like?

lots more questions to follow Smile

Thanks

Good stuff. Seen a couple this weekend that are close to my perfect spec. A few phone calls on Monday and hopefully I can join the club.
