Claim away if it requires a replacement screen. Probably not worth claiming if it's just a repair job.

if they overtook were they shouldn't, and result in damage to your car, has your incar camera caught the registration plate, might be able to claim of their insurance Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I was going to post a rant about people driving slowly and me having to overtake them on chippings , I was in a rush to a Wiltshire garage and devour a ginsters pie. I think Id best keep quiet on this occasion.

If the line was broken going into the hatching its is 100% legal to overtake.

Highway code says you can enter the broken cross hatchings to overtake "if it safe and necessary" but you knew that already

People have such a queue mentality that they drive as if they are in one too, way too close to the vehicle in front. So even if there is an oppertunity to safely overtake there is just no space to pull into. |

Very true Bob. Lemming mentality and very poor driving. So many people pay almost no attention to "conscious" and therefore considerate driving. Mini rant over !

If the chip is repairable it shouldnt affect your insurance and you wont have to pay an excess. If it needs a new screen then best to go through your insurance. I got a chip on mine a couple of months ago but have managed to live with it as it goes back in March next year and knowing my luck if i get it replaced now i will get another chip in prior to handing it back. |

The glass was Pilkington on my 2007 SE but is FUYAO on my 2013 model. I have seen replacement ones that look identical to Pilkingtons but with a blank oval where the OE's showed Land Rover. 2007 SE Manual : Gone and missed but 2013 HSE Lux is better!
