My genuine LR sidestep top flat extruded aluminium section has come detached from one of the box section steel mounting tubes.

Swmbo managed to knock off my n/s step on a high curb. It sheared the actual step off the three metal prongs that go under the car.

I thought about doing that but as I am 15 stone, sometimes 'take a drink', and then use the step as a passenger.

I can assure you that the original Steps can easily take nearly 18 stone of weight without an issue. Aftermarket ones may be as much use as a chocolate teapot, but mine are solid as a rock!! Foraging near Gaydon....

You'll trust six little rivets but nut chunky bolts and tiger seal (that literallyanything to anything forever... )
