United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I have not had one issue in 5 years. But some cars for what ever reason react badly to re-mapping. I remember my first Zafira GSi, I had it mapped and it ran like a pig on boost.

But on the second Zafira GSi we had, I had it re-mapped by the same company and it never faultered. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Australia 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Stornoway Grey

I have just got my FL2 back (2 days ago) from getting re-mapped. Mine is an older TD4 (09 model) so the results are not as significant as what they can get out of a later 12/13 model TD4.

However my initial impressions (all subjective of course) :

Engine is much more responsive
Auto seems to shift smoother (may be just me)
Fuel economy seems to have improved, but its really to early to tell
Turbo seems to spool up a bit quicker
Quieter and smoother.

Overall, its a much nicer car to drive especially since the power has been moved about 500rpm down the rev range. Well worth getting it done. As a test I have a trip to a friends place where up a couple of the hills at 80km/h (speed limit) It wont hold 6th with cruise control on. After the remap it does not change down and seems to handle it all effortlessly.

As I said..Its early days yet, so time will tell how it goes. I have a couple of long trips over the next few days so will be interesting to see how it runs.
