I can only speak for Switzerland, where we also have quite som RR, Discos and Ewoks, but only very few Freelys. In general Range Rover has a very good reputation. For most of the people here all I have mentioned are "Range Rovers" and only the Defender is recognised as a Land Rover. And thats probably the point why only few go for the FL. For most people here its a huge and expensive RR so they don't even consider buying it when they want an SUV. It just makes me question on behalf of all of us members of the forum whether we are blinkered and have all made a wrong choice.

I have only just got back from a 5-week caravan journey through Denmark & Sweden to Norway (2,900 miles door to door). Visited Oslo, Bergen & went as far north as Røros (@ over 62 degrees North). Only saw about 8 Freelanders - (one of which was LRswe's in Malmo) - didn't see him, only his car Saw more Disco Commercials than any others, also a handfull of FFRR, RRS and Ewoks, & even fewer Jags. It was noticeable that the Freelander often turned heads, although that may have been as much because of the GB plate & RHD, which was even rarer than Freelanders! I believe it may be a reflection of the poor or non-existent dealer network in Scandinavia. I remember "Athelstan" always remarking on the failings of the dealership support in Switzerland. It looks to be the same in Scandinavia. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I just believe that LR have a huge untapped market on mainland Europe that is so close to home.
