I have now reached Croatia having passed in total through parts of France, Belgium, most of Germany, corners of Austria and Italy and Slovenia and in all that travelling have only seen ONE Freelander!! A few RR and Disco.
Quashki are seen in great volume !!
Does this show that Europeans think LR is not good enough??

It just makes me question on behalf of all of us members of the forum whether we are blinkered and have all made a wrong choice.
There is an enormous slice of market for the medium size 4x4 as witnesse by the volume of cars in this catagory that I have seen through all these counties yet LR apparently are missing out of in a big way!

...this one FL2 you saw had to be mine... .....travelled from Czech through Austria,Slovenia to Croatia.On this 1200 km trip I only saw two FL2s

I have only just got back from a 5-week caravan journey through Denmark & Sweden to Norway (2,900 miles door to door). Visited Oslo, Bergen & went as far north as Røros (@ over 62 degrees North). Only saw about 8 Freelanders - (one of which was LRswe's in Malmo) - didn't see him, only his car Saw more Disco Commercials than any others, also a handfull of FFRR, RRS and Ewoks, & even fewer Jags. It was noticeable that the Freelander often turned heads, although that may have been as much because of the GB plate & RHD, which was even rarer than Freelanders! I believe it may be a reflection of the poor or non-existent dealer network in Scandinavia. I remember "Athelstan" always remarking on the failings of the dealership support in Switzerland. Just seen a UK reg RR in Porec, one white Evoke and another RR having seen hundreds and hundreds of cars today locally.

Mike at LR your company is missing out big time on sales in Germany and Austria and Croatia, Nissan , Toyota and VAG group have it all their way over here with great quantities of 4x4.

Strange how some members just stop posting.

I just believe that LR have a huge untapped market on mainland Europe that is so close to home.
When you have a good product that can operate in a very similar operating temperature and weather environment using standard factory build perameters you should market and build up a good sales area.
.
There is evidently such a big hole in LR marketing that I hope this forum is seen by LR directors and they do something about it.
They already have the European LH build spec on the production line.
