My one on my FL2 MY11 ( now gone!) was changed under warranty. The driver who gave me a lift from dealership back to office told me they were on average changing one or two rear wiper motores EVERY week. Clearly the part is rubbish! I am afraid there seems to be little built in quality in these vehicles. Sad! |

Having run without the rear wiper for 18 months (only forward wipers count in the MoT) after refusing the dealer's £140 part plus £60 fitting charge, I stumbled across a used motor on ebay for £40. Fitting it (I'm no mechanic) was an absolute doddle so problem solved for £40 and 15 mins of my time. Maybe there will be more pattern parts and 'scrap' sales as the Freelander 2 is discontinued? |
