i think this was due to streaking wasn't it?

if you have tried claying the screen, and that didn't work, then i would try something like, iron x or similar, or a strong dilution of a all purpose cleaner, or even fairy liquid

i assume you have tried the assorted glass cleaners and maybe household white vinigar
Yes - and it did help.... killed my arm which is why I was looking for some thing clever to use to clean easier...

For me, it's either Muc Off's own shampoo or my next purchase will be Autobrite Directs - Banana Gloss or Purple Velvet, both VERY good shampoos. Purple Velvet dilution is 1500:1, £12 for 500ml, one capful for 15 litres!

Sealant wise, Dodo Juice Supernatural Acrylic is my weapon of choice, lasted the winter and more.

Glass wise.....I had the same trouble with a glass sealant that caused mayhem on the Freelander screen (Autobrite Repel). I used a strong mix of APC, then vinegar afterwards....it took some doing, never again will I use a 'repelling' sealant!! In the end I used some Farecla Shampoo designed for stripping wax/sealant to remove the last bit.
Thanks Jimski.... I may have a look on DW and see what they say....

The car unfortunately gets taken up a muddy farm track on a weekly basis to the in-laws so never stays this clean for long. I like to know the paint is protected underneath the muck!

Nice little sample pack deal being run by 'Imperial Wax'. They are a new company following the merger of 'Wax Tec' and 'Car Skin'.

I've used their products previously and rate them very very highly. Once to watch out for is their 'Fall Off V3' due in a month and for us Freelander owners the 'Rubber Seal - Matte' is the 'Mint Dress' I did a review of which is perfect for ALL our plastics inside and out, bringing them back to that new matte look with an amazing minty fragrance.

Heres the sample thread link, £5 delivered for 4 products.

I think I may be obsessed

My Freelander isn't an every day car, we use my wife's mk2 focus every day. Last week I washed the freelander and put it back into my garage, I then dried it, waxed and cleaned the windows. The next day I waxed the car twice,. I left it for a day or so and waxed the car again. Can you have too much wax ? I have also waxed the wheels 4 or 5 times Whistle Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax.
It was my birthday at the start of October (I know I don't look my age Rolling with laughter) , it's taken a wee while but we had friends over on Saturday night & I was given a £100 voucher for halfords for my birthday as it was a "special " one, I went to to local halfords today , in the wife's car as I didn't want to dirty big red (freelander) ,I spent £60 on shampoo , special drying cloths , special microfibre window cleaning clothes. The car is sparkling inside and out , so much so I don't want to take it out and get it dirty, I would say it's cleaner now than when I bought it in September.
The question is am I normal ? Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Hopefully this is the right place...

I'm doing the MAC4x4 challenge in March, which will mean I need to sticker up for sponsors - I don't want all the paint coming off though when I take them off so was looking to give it a good polish before I start...
Any suggestions from the OCD types??

Hmm, somewhat tricky when the sponsors stickers are stickers? Unless I can get a couple of big sheets for the doors! 2000 Xei 1.8 gone
