Link below says that over the last winter we nearly run out of gas!

They said the same thing the year before, I find these stories a little strange as we don't store gas like we used too, it is piped in from Europe as and when needed?

discussing that today with the boiler commissioning guy, grab a chicken walk 5 yards pop it in the boiler wait a few seconds roast chicken , but at 97kw a few seconds to long will finish it off At work

both would burn perfectly well, but with high acid levels in the flue leading to a shorter boiler life At work

Another thing to thank the eu for..shutting all our coal fired powerstations..which are now switching to gas if they can...heaping even more demand on the system

Drax power station is planning on using 5 millions tonnes of wood chips a year because of the EU regs/tax. The irony of this is that the wood chips come from the USA, any CO2 saved by the power station from electrical generation is lost by the CO2 produced by the ships that bring the stuff from the USA!!
