As far as I'm aware the petrol engine FL2 isn't avaliable in the uk? Though there was a petrol FL mk1? |

I'm pretty sure petrol was previously offered. Not sure when it was dropped but I'm sure it was on option when I got my first in 2007. Or have I imagined that? |

Ive seen a UK 07 petrol FL2 in the Orange metallic for sale at my local dealers so they were available at one time. |

I think they appeared from launch on the 56 plate but only lasted 2 or 3 years as demand in the UK was virtually non existant with high petrol prices and laughable mpg! |

Freelander 2 was available with the 3.2 i6 engine from launch until 2009 IIRC, when LR introduced their e-terrain technologies with TD4e (stop/start), now just called TD4. 2007 the auto became available with the diesel engine.

As said above, the 3.2 was available in the uk for the first 3 years of production. Basically the exact same model as sold in the US.

Brought our i6 over three years ago, went looking for one specifically as that was what i wanted. It was around 30months old at the time.
