Have manual seats and found the seat base quite short but no problem with back side |

Yes I hated my 2007 seats in my freelander, I am 6'3 and could never get compfy in 3 years of owning it. The lack of headroom was an issue too |

I've a 2010 car with 34k miles. I've just had the seat foam replaced and wow the difference.

I loved the seat in my 2008 freelander, I am 6'3 and it was always comfy in 5 years of owning it. The headroom was never an issue for me. |

Sounds like the seat base foam has sunk, meaning your back is not roasting against the right part of the seat back.

I've found the seat base a little short, and I don't have long legs. The middle cloth section (XS electric seats) is also a bit rough and can be irritating at times.

I find the seats very comfortable due to them having the adjustable lumber support, unlike those say on a low spec Ford Focus where no matter how they were adjusted gave me back ache, the solution was to get out and walk, my back was ok then. |

You may get used to it. I thought the seat was a lot less comfortable than my Disco 2, but I've got used to it now and no problems (apart from having to pump up the base every time I use it). |

I have found that the S model with the manual seats, has very poor lumbar support. Unlike the elec seats with the manual lumbar support on higher spec models.
