2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Galway Green

Finally got my 19" wheels tyred and fitted...replacing 17"

Noticeably less roll whilst cornering and a bit firmer ride, but not massively so. Generally feels more sure footed with the 19" - although some of that could be because my 17" were down to 4mm/5mm whilst the 19" are new.

So we have before (17" continental 4x4)

...and after (with 19" Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season)

Looks good. I'm looking into changing my 17s, possibly a set of Evoque 19s. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

What do you think of larger 19" LR rims that are on my Freelander? I think they look Great with Mauritius blue, and if I change my car next year I will try and find one with the same wheels. I would have an HSE LUX, but. I don't like the dark wheels much.

Prefer the 17" ones - more rubber depth looks chunkier. Just my own preference Thumbs Up * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

I like the ones on your car also, I'm a bit annoyed that I didn't spec them, my car came in well under my budget but by the time we knew what LRs offers were going to be I couldn't spec amend. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I like the ones your XS has got. The MY13 XS wheels are much nicer than the previous wheels on the XS IMO. Maybe if you wait until the winter or you need new tires, you could use the XS wheels for Winter and get some larger ones for summer?

The 13MY XS alloys are nice and were long over due a revamp. I will keep a look out on eBay just incase a bargin pops up. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Yeah I can see that perspective. I guess each emphasises something different. I like both Smile

Plan to run the 17" for winter so I get to enjoy both Very Happy FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

Would be interested to see what your privacy film looks like when fitted.

I had a 12 plate as a courtesy car last week, and while i wasn't that fussed about the newer model, I did like the privacy glass. However, i was just wondering if the aftermarket privacy looks as good as factory.

As an aside, I really didn't like the au Rolling Eyes tomatic box on the loaner, kept changing at odd times, especially going round slow, tight corners.

LoP

Edit: I've got no idea how I managed to miss the photos of your car (with privacy glass) at the top of this page. Forgive my inane ramblings... Looks good though.

Yanwoo, are you sure thats Galway Green? My 57 plate is much darker and less "greeny" than yours, I thought mine was galway.
