2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey
Poor running-jolt

Hi, I am having an issue with my F2 where when cold an intermittant jolt is felt throughout the whole car, if accelerating hard it feels as though someone has run into the back. The supplying dealer(non LR) has said it does not shown up any fault codes and has not experienced the jolt. There does ot appear to be a drop in the engine speed. Has anyone experienced the same if so what was the problem.

It is a 2007 model 54k miles.

Thanks Confused

Can you detect if it is transmission or engine related "jolt"? If transmission, a first cheap check would be to see that the handbrake shoes are not a bit loose and "grabbing" or maybe a loose rear diff/suspension fixing bolt. If it feels like sudden engine power loss I would be suspecting the fuel filter first.....could be lots of things though. John
