Anybody any idea what the time-span is between build and delivery to the dealer? Seems to be anywhere between two and four weeks at the moment if I'm to believe what I'm being told. Surely JLR would want to get completed cars shipped ASAP?

Not sure on any dates but think they build them and keep until there is a certain number before shipping. I know when my grandma bought her last new car, the divliery date was put back by three weeks then it turned up the next day as it had squeezed it on the boat...

Not sure there's a definitive answer, but I'm waiting right now and my dealer says they expect to have it two weeks after the date it's due to go into build. I hope they're right!

Interesting, as mine was in build last Tuesday (12th) and I've been assured that it will be with me for 01/03. Another guy in my office has just ordered a GS and that’s due for build 13/03 and expected at the dealer 27/03.

So it looks like they're sticking to build plus 14 days to get it to the dealer. My GS is planned exactly a week ahead of your colleague's for both build and delivery.

I've spoken to my dealer this morning and hear my new XS has been delivered, so it looks like delivery times are sub two weeks
