United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Fuji White
Internal temperature

Just an odd one...
I used to leave the air con on my old my10 at 21 or 22 degrees pretty much all the time.
Now I'm in my new MY13 I have the a/c at 24 or 23.

Both cars have ebony interior.

The question is can white car "feel" colder than a red one, or is a two degree variation amongst vehicles normal? Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic

In theory, climate control should be the same in any car and work to maintain whatever temp you have set it at. I think you are just feeling the cold a tiny bit more and feel more at ease with a slightly higher temperature. A sign of getting older? Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I think the chicken fella is right. I have seen this before with external temperature probes / sensors being a couple of degrees out of calibration. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

I've used many different temp probe at work, also technical visitors to the farm bring their own temp probes, we have had several 'quality' probes in a line and have seen them all read differently.

these are generally better quality probes than you will find in a car

And a probe that reads true at say 15C maybe +/-2C at perhaps 25C. At work

Manual says that the setting (in degrees) does not relate to the precise temperature at any point in the vehicle. Its a placebo so set the dial to the temperature number that suits you - there's every chance that you've got the same actual as the previous car with a different No on the dial
It's a bit like buying shoes - for the same feet, I'm 10 and a half in Saucony running shoes, "9 wide" in smart brogues and 10 in a slip-on driving shoe. I buy what fits and not the same size number. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red
