On Friday night I was driving home mid blizzard and in front of me doing about 1mph was a Nissan Joke. It was slithering and sliding around in the snow despite being the 4WD model Rolling Eyes

Personally I cannot see the point in buying something thats bigger and chunkier than a normal car and with 4WD if it just makes you look stupid when you don't do any better in snow than a car with 2WD.

When talking strictly about abilities in the rough stuff or horrendous weather, BMW really ought to rename their 4x4's the X-Turds. I like Beemers but the X3 can't do anything that a 3 series touring with winter tyres can't do (except mild off roading). Buy a proper Beemer if you want one and avoid Nissan Jokes et al Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Handle every twist and turn in the weather in a Beamer?

Had to laugh at the double page colour ad in Weekend FT for the BMW X drive " intelligent all wheel drive system" now fitted to BMW 1 and 3 Series heaps.Talks about balancing power between wheels in a blink of an eye...
It says ... "So no matter whats around the corner you can be confident of handling it with ease" Picture shows a little Beamer descending a deep snow covered bend at speed. Shocked

Methinks the line should read " "So no matter whats around the corner you can be confident of crashing with ease."
