Eastnor Range Rovers

Was wandering through the Eastnor Estate on Saturday, and bumped into a convoy of around a dozen new Range Rovers, flanked by Experience Centre Discovery's and a Defender.

And I can honestly say they looked terrible. And the track they were on wasn't particularly tough, the Discovvery floating over the holes and through the puddles, but the RR's limbering with wheels spinning on even the minor holes. They also appeared to have very little ground cleaarance Confused

As for the walk, that was lovely until the girlfriend came across the ducks and pheasants being shot, she wasn't convinced it was such a nice day anymore! Laughing Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Worth noting that the Discovery's would have been driven by an Eastnor Experience Instructor, while the Range Rovers would have been driven by invited members of the general public who may, or may not have driven off road before. Having driven a new Range Rover off road it is every bit as capable as a Discovery in the right hands.

I did think that, but as they were in such a convoy I guessed they would be either senior dealership staff, or partners of LR, and most likely have done several off road days in the past.

I couldn't help thinking I'd prefer an ML or Cayenne (cue abuse!!!) Laughing Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

It was a Customer Ride and Drive Event, part of a nationwide tour to introduce potential customers to the vehicle.
