Engine cuts out when starting - intermittent problem

My 2007 FL2 SE (Petrol) has an intermittent starting problem.
The start button works, the car will start for around 1-2 seconds, but then it cuts out. This happens about 4 o 5 times and then eventually it starts properly. It happens only in very hot weather and only intermittently.
Any suggestions??

Air Lock? Injectors seeping when stood = lack of pressure? Only a thought. Better people than me on here will probably know better.

It's not unique, but most of us one here burn oil so the answer may take a while.
