Well guys, my dealer Farnell Bradford has come up trumps on this one. Through the auto electrician that they use they will be sorting this for me.Parts have been ordered and will be fitted when they arrive in the new year. Whywot4 any update on this did you get it fitted? I'd really like a rear camera fitted so wouldbe nice to get an update! FL2 HSE SD4, black, privacy glass, spoiler, 19' diamond cut alloys.

Sorry for the delay in updating this. The salesman who arranged all this has left the company so in many ways I had to start again. Camera was finally fitted about 3 weeks ago. I am pleased with it but it is not quite what I expected.
the original camera that was fitted has not been wired up but in fact another camera has been installed at the other side of the tailgate handle, something I did not notice until the weekend.
The camera shows on the satnav screen and has the markings showing the space needed to open the hatch. However there are no reversing lines or tow hitch assist that I can see. Touching the display when the screen is on has no affect.
I don't know if this is because it is a retro fit or because some software needs activating, will have to ask.

Look a Disco number plate camera will fit, be surprised of you couldn't get a FL one mind you, then change the boot microswitch which will contain a power lead for your new toy, a new loom to replace the existing one, now including the FAKRA cable, up to the top of the rear boot. If it's anything like the D4 there will be an existing FAKRA cable there, which can also be picked up near the gear dial, knob. Then it's a 1m FAKRA to the back of Infortainment system. Get it enabelled with Autologic and you have a rear view camera with parking lines.
