May Possibly Come Back To Freelander?

I am selling my Evoque though not because I don't like it - I love it but I have been offered what I consider to be a very good offer from my dealer initially against another Evoque which I have to say is the most likely outcome due to it probably holding it's value better? But I was in the dealer today & they will give me the same against a Freelander as well plus discount on the new FL2 (even more if I could have done a deal by tomorrow afternoon (New Years Eve) as LR were pumping some cash into registering as many as possible before year end.
LR for 2013 have done some nice tweeks with the FL2 except they have gone backwards with the trim choices - back to Almond & all Black & no Alcantara now on the XS. I did like my Storm Grey - Rolling Eyes
To get around that dilema the only option for me is possibly a Fuji White FL2 Dynamic SD4Auto with the Red/Black leather (Pimento), the Dynamic Plus Pack, Xenons, 825W Meridian Hifi, Privacy Glass, Cold Climate Pack, Powerfold Mirrors/Puddle Lamps etc, Grand Black Lacquer finish /Heated Steering Wheel.
OR,,,
SD4HSE-Lux, not sure what colour with Privacy Glass, Rear Spoiler & probably the Ivory Windsor leather.

I took the demo SD4HSE auto out for a quick spin & yes is very nice but I have a feeling that as I love my Evoque far more than I ever did my last FL2 I feel I would miss it & the fact that the body design is 6 years now & the FL3 is not that far away is a big factor.
Oh what to do? (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.

If you love your Evoque so much I would see no reason to change it at present.

don't see the sense in throwing money away just because you think that you are being offered a good deal ?

You have already highlighted on a few posts as to how good Evoque is at retaining value thus cannot understand why you would spend Evoque money on a Freelander ?
More you spend on a Freelander = more loss when driven off forecourt
Think you you have answered your own question either keep current or buy new Evoque 2011 XS,Sumatra Black, GONE MARCH 2014- RR Evoque Prestige 5 door ,MY 2014,Loire Blue, Silver Roof, Panoramic roof.

if your deal includes going from a 3 door coupe to to a more practical 5 door then i could see the point in swapping to the evoque, but if its just a swap for the sake of swapping due to a deal then theres no point.

The new FL2 is alot nicer inside, but the outside is just the same, you'll also lose the luxury of going Range Rover to Land Rover as the Evoque has a touch more inside

hi

if i were you i would keep what i had until the FL3 comes out, then have a think on what to do but i suspect the Evoque will need a update to stay ahead of the new FL3 1995 P38 now dead

Good points above. Initially my enquiry with the dealer was to change from my Dynamic Evoque to a Pure with less tech as I had suffered from flat battery 4 times. This is possibly due to using it for work & leaving unlocked etc whilst getting things from the back.

If I change from the Dynamic to Pure I will get enough trade in to clear the finance (bearing in mind I only put down £5000 on the car in the first place) and give me (by end of Feb when quote is valid to) nearly £6000 back for a deposit on the next. This deal works the same for a FL2 as well. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I asked the salesman yesterday what he thaught about my decision FL2 or Pure Evoque & he recons the Evoque is the better bet to be honest given the way mine has held it's value etc etc so I guess it is likely that that is what it may well be. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

one thing to remember is that next year (2014) the ewok will be three years old so while it is holding good trade in now next year wont be so good. LR are actively getting ewok's into the second hand market now so as there is not such a big drop in price next year, this is something that all car manufacturers do with brand new models, the trick is getting in when they are offering the best deal.

Ghyllie oo! Shiney!
