If you love your Evoque so much I would see no reason to change it at present.

You have already highlighted on a few posts as to how good Evoque is at retaining value thus cannot understand why you would spend Evoque money on a Freelander ?

if your deal includes going from a 3 door coupe to to a more practical 5 door then i could see the point in swapping to the evoque, but if its just a swap for the sake of swapping due to a deal then theres no point.

Good points above. Initially my enquiry with the dealer was to change from my Dynamic Evoque to a Pure with less tech as I had suffered from flat battery 4 times. This is possibly due to using it for work & leaving unlocked etc whilst getting things from the back.

I asked the salesman yesterday what he thaught about my decision FL2 or Pure Evoque & he recons the Evoque is the better bet to be honest given the way mine has held it's value etc etc so I guess it is likely that that is what it may well be. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

one thing to remember is that next year (2014) the ewok will be three years old so while it is holding good trade in now next year wont be so good. LR are actively getting ewok's into the second hand market now so as there is not such a big drop in price next year, this is something that all car manufacturers do with brand new models, the trick is getting in when they are offering the best deal.
