Rather than line the dealers pockets I did it myself for a tenner. We've had the car just two weeks and 380 miles. It took just two hours to:

Have to say I had this done to mine when new and in hindsight it's a complete waste of money. As soon as the car paintwork is chipped (unless you have the 'stuff' to recoat) the Supragard protection is broken, and it doesn't seem to last. Much better to give the car a coat of good quality polish once or twice a year and regular washing. On the plus side you do get a rather nice 'complimentary' emergency kit though courtesy of Supragard |

Don't want to appear pedantic, but polish does not protect paint work, it just removes a small amount of it.

Yes garioch you are right in your thinking, polish does remove a layer, wax or sealer is really needed, I use nothing but Werkstat Acylic Jett on my car, it was superguarded from new and gets a coating of Jett whenever I can, takes 30-40 minutes to go around the whole car and it shines likes nothing else I have seen before.

Thing about supaguard is that it is all in the preparation and application. It may only cost a tenner to buy the sealer from a certain Internet auction site but to apply it properly should take at least a day to wash, clay, polish and seal the paint. Problem is that most dealers get the spotty car washers on minimum wage to do it and ruin your paint at the same time.
