I think they really refer to the big battery charger types that give it a very rapid boost charge, Ive used the trickle charger that charges on 2amps ok without disconnecting it without any problems to give the battery an extra bit, especially in winter, and Ive now got a charger that can be left connected if the cars not used for a while, it exercises the battery and keeps it in top condition, again no need to disconnect the battery leads. |

A smart charger is what you need Costco have them Ctec is a good one even Lidl keep having one in. |
