I read tonight to use a LR or Toyota 4x4 built before 2004 as all parts are easily available in Africa. |

My daughter-in-law's brother did it with his mate in ex-Environment Agency Defender 110 200Tdi with sand ladders, jerry cans. roo bar, rood tent and little else.

Good tyres! plus a couple of spares. Basic spares, new filters (air and fuel). Cash placed in different areas in the car (So no one sees you with a large amount) including Euro's and Dollars.
