Comeuppance for lazy woman driver

Been reading the post about the guy driving whilst reading the paper and thought I would post about this.

Last week my mum was in traffic on the local high street when she saw a woman she knows walking with her 2 year old son. The woman and child emerged from a jitty onto the main pavement only to be confronted by a woman driver in a ford focus who mounted the kerb. She almost ran them over as she parked with all four wheels on the pavement just to go to the cash point at Lloyds TSB Evil or Very Mad

Rather than drive to a suitable parking place or another cash point, she decided to be lazy and almost ran the mother and child over.

Unfortunately, the woman did not want to go to the police and there was no CCTV footage but my mum made a statement and within 2 days the officer dealing went to see the woman. By all accounts, she was quite a nice person rather than some gobby chav but the officer gave her a right roasting about it and she grovelled and apologised and got very tearful. She said she had learnt a harsh lesson and offered to write to the woman to apologise.

Prompt police action and an effective outcome. As opposed to some gobby chav who would just do the same tomorrow, this woman will now find a proper parking space in future Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
