Politeness and manners you say. So how would you describe the stupid b h who put her childs life in danger I for one would never leave my car engine running whilst I popped out to deliver something, and that's without a child in the car. What she did was careless and stupid, and in my opinion not a fit mother ______________________ 2011 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 2012 FL2 SD4 Auto HSE 2013 Kawasaki Versys 650 |

Anyone who leaves their car running while unattended is asking for it to be taken, how many times has this happened and yet people still do it, every year, tens, if not hundreds of cars disappear on frosty mornings as the owner goes back inside to keep warm.

Glad to hear the kid's fine and, secondly, the car has been returned with no damage.

My Keys come up to bed with me every night, and reside in the drawer of the bedside cabinet. Having spent several years in South Africa, this now comes as second nature, and is a habit I am glad that I still have! My keys hang on a hook near the door but out of sight through the window, Id rather they got found there than have a rude awakening during the night, that what insurance is for.

Oldgeezer is always leaving his Freelander 2 with the keys inside, unfortunately for him all of the local car thieves in his area are reading this forum and know it simply isnt worth the hassle |

I was sat in my car in a car park a couple of months back waiting for Mrs. B. to reappear from shops and was shocked to see a woman pull up outside Blockbusters, leave the car with the engine running and go in to return some DVDs. She had a couple of young children in the back.

As my Dad would say, they are fully paid up members of the It'll Never Happen To Me Brigade If you were to tell such people of the risks involved, they would possibly laugh in your face and declare that it happens to other people but not them. Although I would not wish it on the lady it happened to in the news story, she did get a comeuppance for being so stupid and the Yobo duly laughed in her face to add insult to injury. I have seen people queuing in the chippy and leaving the keys in with engine running LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |
