United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

ps - Don't buy if it's a manual and has a tow bar - you could be walking into some big expenditure. Search clutch an DMF issues.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Bali Blue

Your £14K budget should open up a lot of doors to an SE or even a HSE. Theres a 07 plate HSE in orange near me selling at a garage for 13K. Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!
Gone - 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Bali Blue with xenons
Gone - 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Rimini Red with bodykit

Thanks for all this.

Should I assume a GS has cruise control and S doesn't have steering wheel audio controls.

For an 07 model, yes I think so. May change for later ones.
Incidentally mine is a manual with towbar and I've had no clutch problems (yet!). I wouldn't worry too much about this if you are buying from a dealer and have a LR warranty in place. In fact I would have preferred an auto, and had the choice, but the auto S was the same price as the GS manual and I preferred the GS. It's a nice box though, and not having the auto has not been a problem.

My SE Auto 07 plate was just under £14k from a dealership (Guy Salmon Wakefield).

It had 44k on the clock with FSH. Also got 12 month LR warranty.

Good luck with your search Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

Thanks to all for the good advice, Disco now sold (boo hoo ), so now on the serious look out for a Freelander 2.

Previously I would've turned down an auto, but I'm startiing to come round to it.

Any other advice very much appreciated.

Cheers
Phil

This is my first auto and I'm definitely converted. Plus you don't have the worry of DMF clutch failure. (Just do a search on DMF to see!) Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

I wish !!!

No it'll be a 07 or 08, probably looking to spend £14 for 40k miles, seems there's plenty around, but it it worth spending an extra £1k for the terrain response when i used it twice in 4 years on the Disco ??

Cheers
Phil

This looks ok ish, stolen recovered and had the facelift done, if it is just a wing and bonnet that was damaged?
Would need to be checked thoroughly though.

Re: ad210358 weblink...

Cat D for a new wing and bonnet? Not convinced - something missing?

Does a bit bit it can be checked?
Perhaps it was missing for a while then found?

Slightly off the beaten track, but same price but with just 15k more miles and no Cat D. Easier to sell on too...

Thanks for all these, the recovered HSE looks a bargain and maybe too god to be true.....

I'll need to try and get a break down of the spec on the various models, I guess that'll help me decide.

Cheers
Phil
