Surely even the Police Police cannot condone this.. even the most BASIC recruit straight out of Hendon Police collage can tell the difference between a blind persons collapsible cane and an offensive weapon ,if not WHY NOT .!

It is truly shocking - an overzeoluos policeman on adrenaline I would say - thankfully these things don't happen often and he will be reprimanded and retrained

Couldn't agree more, carrying guns wouldn't have helped the two that were murdered recently, and this would have ended far worse than it did if the thug in uniform hand had something more deadly than a taser. Come to think of it, how would it have ended if the chap had suffered another stroke? a Hillsborough style cover up? Just to add balance You have to remember the majority of the police are doing a reasonable job, they come to work, do thier best and go home, it's a minority that get thier kicks for shoving others around that ruin the image for the majority. My problem is I know some good lads who were/are in uniform, and have met some real low-lifes wearing the same uniform. You can get walking sticks with a built in sword or that fire bullets even, and you can get a blind man that arent too, one was found out recently after claiming benefits for 20 odd years. All is not always as it seems or sounds. |

Got to feel more sorry for his Labrador, apparently its head is now mounted on a wooden shield above the Chief Constable's desk, and the paws made into souvenir letter openers for the firearms squad. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
